PC Quest? Anyone? Anyone?

Am I the only one that remembers the early ’90s band PC Quest? It was two guys, one girl, and… I’m not sure about the little one. They produced that song “After the Summer’s Gone” in which a 12-year-old kid sings about the soul-shattering tragedy of star-crossed love:

I’ll be missing you, after September, I’ll be wanting you, so always remember how I loved you, girl, after the summer’s gone. Oooooooo ahhhhhhh! (Didn’t every song from the early ’90s end with ooooooo, ahhhhhh?)

I seem to be the only one who remembers these scrawny fuckers, which doesn’t do wonders for alpha-male status claim. In my defense, I only bought the albums because I wanted to plug the chick.

Album! I meant album. I didn’t buy more than one album, because that would be very unmanly. Which means I certainly don’t know the song “Can’t You See” by heart.

Nobody remembers this? PC Quest, with the… oh, screw you guys.

UPDATE: Just to prove to you bastards that I didn’t make this up, I tracked down the original song. Ha! I told you! After The Summer’s Gone (streaming) I really must get a life. There must be one laying around here somewhere…

  3. Of course I remember them. I remember watching them sing a few bars live on a Saturday morning show, and they were fantastic. I listened to part of the album today and think that it was full of excellent songs. They were far better than the average kid group that comes out.

  4. I remember them…they were awesome. I wrote in to the fanclub once and they sent me back a few of their early CDs.

  5. By the way, the girl, still a beautiful singer. Rocks out for Jesus now!

  8. Not only do I remember them… I loved them. It reminds me of my younger years (I was 15 when After the Summer’s Gone came out, and it was a kick ass summer!). I was just listening to the song (downloaded from somewhere) on my headset and decided to look up the band to see if anything exists on them and saw your blog. Definitely a top song from my past… brings back so many memories!

  9. I remember them too! I just put a few songs on my mp3 player. For about 2 years, I was going crazy trying to remember the name of the band. I found an old cassette tape and had to jump for joy

  10. Not only do i remember them, my mom worked for a local radio station (Q94) and we personally knew them. We spent vacations when they were living in Oklahoma. In the inside cover by the “thank you” it says my mother name. I have awesome childhood memories.

  11. You’re awesome!! Thanks for streaming this song! I never knew who sang it but I LOVED it when I was in the 7th grade!! It just popped into my head and I typed the lyrics into Google and got your blog!!! Thanks again!!!!!
